What To Expect on Sunday Mornings

SUNDAY SERVICE TIMES
8:30 | 10:30
“Joy is the serious business of heaven.” CS Lewis
We gather to celebrate freedom and hope together. Our services are welcoming, relaxed and marked by fellowship, prayer, worship, teaching, and communion.

WHAT ARE WORSHIP SERVICES LIKE?

Sunday Gatherings

Our services include a time for corporate worship, a gospel-centered teaching, prayer, and usually some announcements on events or ministry updates.

Music: Typically the music includes a mixture of mostly contemporary worship and classic hymns.
Teaching: We have sermon series that are often through a book in the Bible and sometimes we do a topical or character study.
What should I wear?
You will see people wearing shorts and sandals greeting others in dresses and heels. Suits and ties are welcome, but so are sweatpants and tennis shoes. In other words, wear what you are comfortable wearing, and we'll be glad to see you.

WHAT ARE CHILDCARE OPTIONS?

Riverkids

Children are valued highly in our church family, for their presence and what they teach us about God and His Kingdom.
We currently have classes for children (birth-5th grade) during services.
Check-in for RiverKids begins 15 min prior to service time

ARE THERE OPTIONS FOR MY MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLERS?

Student Ministry (2RSM)

RiverMiddles (6th-8th): Sunday mornings during the 10:30AM service and Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm

High School: Sundays from 5-7pm

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE IS A 5TH SUNDAY IN THE MONTH

Scatter Sundays

Whenever there is a 5th Sunday (4 times a year) instead of regular services, we do what we call "Scatter"
We scatter across town in service projects. This may look like serving alongside one of our mission partners helping them accomplish a larger task. Or it may be doing yard work for a widow or family in need. It may also be assembling hygiene kits for under-resourced schools. We are always looking for new opportunities to come together as a church body and scatter out to serve!
